How to Save Your Fillable Worksheets

Here’s how to save your worksheets so that you can edit them…

Use only the latest version of Adobe Reader. Macintosh and Windows versions of the free Adobe Reader are available from Adobe at http://get.adobe.com/reader/.

Do not edit the worksheet online within your web browser.

Before beginning to edit the worksheet, save it (PDF format) to a drive or location on your computer (ex: Documents folder). Use the “save as” option, which will allow you to save it to the desired location on your computer or got to “File” and select “export to PDF,” then save to your computer.
If viewing the worksheet in a built-in PDF viewer (e.g., Chrome, FireFox), right-click the PDF and select Save as or Save Page As. Make sure the Save as type is set to Adobe Acrobat Document (*.pdf).

Note the file name and location of the saved file (so you can find it!)

Once you have saved the worksheet to your computer, you are ready to edit it. Please be advised that the worksheet will not automatically save.
Go to file > Save As and make sure the format is set to “Adobe PDF Files” and give your document a name. It is strongly recommended that you periodically hit the “save” button to save your work as you are working on it.
